Sarangkot-Australian Camp

3 Days

Overview

One of the relatively simple trek routes located in the stunning Annapurna region is the Sarangkot-Australian camp trek. Sarangkot is one of the best vantage spots in the city which is 1700 meters above sea level. The route is also regarded as Pokhara’s top sunrise and sunset excursion.  Whereas Australian Camp is also a very popular location for bird watching and mountain views. It is, in fact, where the trek to Annapurna Base Camp begins or ends.

There is another route on this journey that leads to Dhampus, which is a simple substitute for those who wish to take in the spectacular views of the snow-capped mountains.

Compared to other well-known lengthy treks like the Mardi Himal Trek or the Annapurna Base Camp Trek, this one is quite short and less difficult. Additionally, this journey enables you to have a closer look at the stunning Annapurna Range, which includes the peaks of Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre, Himchuli, Manaslu, and Lamjung Himal, as well as Annapurna II, III, IV, and Annapurna South.
